On Tuesday, we viewed the Will Rogers Museum in Claremore, OK. This is looking back from the grave site. He is buried here with other members of his family. This was land that he had purchased for his retirement. Will Rogers was killed on August 15, 1935 in an airplane crash in Alaska. |

This is the marker in front. There is also a beautiful bronze statue of Rogers on horseback which can be seen. |

Will Rogers was probably the one man who kept America together through the first World War and the Great Depression. He was an actor, writer, humorist and cowboy. He was the common man's hero. This is a photo from an early movie. |

Will Rogers was born in 1879 so this is a bust created by the Walt Disney Corporation which depics Will Rogers probably close to the end of his life. |

The museum is wonderful. There are many beautiful paintings and art work throughout. This is just one of the beautiful murals which depict the different aspects of Will Rogers' life. If you ever get a chance, visit this beautiful museum and memorial to one of America's great treasures and Oklahoma's favorite sons/ |
