On Wed., the 25th, we went to Chandler and got to be involved with their festival that was really supposed to be the 4th of July but got rained out. Lucky for us. Channel 5, KOCO came up from Oklahoma City and did an interview with Woody. Here he is telling about the car, the big clock and the trip.

You cannot take a trip through the heartland of America without a turtle race. I actually had never seen one before. They were really kinda fun. And the kids loved it. Some of the turtles had not received the memo to skidaddle, so often it was more of a wait and see race. Eventually they all got with the program and made a race out of it.

This is America in the summer. Kids, hamburgers, free ice cream and good weather.

One of the really delightful and encouraging things that has made this trip wonderful was the entertainment. All afternoon, young people of all ages, some as young as pre-teen, sang for the audience. And just about all of them, including this very lovely young lady, sang about God, or Jesus or their love of country.
