| On the 12th, we stopped in Grants. This was a very successful uranium mining community in the 1950's. This is a mining tower that is currently in front of the mining museum. | ![]() |
| The museum was very well done and had an elevator that took you down to a mock uranium mine. Here is a photo of one of the displays of several cars. If hadn't told you this was a museum you would have thought it was a real mine. They did an excellent job. Cost to get in is only $2. | ![]() |
We parked right beside the local newspaper. Right next to their office is the Uranium Cafe. This is their sign. It was closed. |
