On Tuesday, we visited the Fort Leonard Wood Army base near Waynesville. Our contact person was Vergie, in the white hat. She invited Woody to have lunch at the Rotary Club and then we went out to the base. |

This was a very interesting place to visit and take pictures. There is so much to see and read. This is indeed a history lesson that could go on for days. This is an early cannon used by our military. |

This, I believe, is a Combat Engineer Vehicle which weighs just over 117,000 lbs. |

This is part of one of the displays in the museum. This is an old D4 Caterpillar tractor with the blade. This is exactly the same type of tractor I grew up with on the farm. Of course, the one I drove was yellow and did not have all the extra armor or other equipment. |

One of the displays covered chemical warfare. In fact one entire wing was dedicated to chemical systems and equipment. |

This did not have a placard but I believe this is a WWII vintage Sherman tank. These were smaller than the German tanks but were more manuverable. These tanks played an important part in our victory in Europe. |

This shows several of the beautiful displays showing off the different uniforms of the different eras and functions within the military. These particular uniforms were in the Military Police Museum. |

| The Great All-American Road Show is a family values experience. We believe that integrity, hardwork, a strong moral compass and basic self-discipline are values that have made and will keep this country great. As we travel across this great land, it is our intention to let communities and individuals enjoy the freedoms we hold dear. We encourage everyone to do all things in moderation and exhibit a general concern for the welfare of others. | ![]() |
